  1. I thought the line breaking was good because it made the poem seem more suspenseful and deep. The tone of the poem seemed tense with some lines suggesting there is conflict between the mother and daughter. The line breaking reflects the theme of the poem because the theme of the poem is fractured and so is the line breaking. At the end when it is only one line, it is powerful because the one line stands out and gives an explanation for the behavior going on within the poem.

  3. The line breaking and structure adds emphasis to the work. Enrapturing readers, and helping them comprehend the significance and depth of the writer's words. In particular, I analyzed this piece to be about anger and apply to reader's pathos. The writer includes her anger, the anger and frustration of her mother, her sister, her grandmother, displaying anger from various perspectives. But also the trailing hurt and sadness that follows anger. This piece has a great emotional impact on readers, and I believe that readers can definitely empathize with it.
